We completed the closing on our retirement home in Tom River recently. I wanted to post this in order to commend our realtor Joe Haberl. Before meeting him we had been looking for a home in that area for some time. We dealt with other realtors and agencies that would take us out once or twice and if we didn't like what they showed us we would not hear from them again. Always we would call them with houses we had found in listings, they were not finding anything for us. Also, they were almost impossible to reach with questions and often their phone message boxes were full. If we did leave a message they might not return our call for days. But Joe was different than those other agencies. He was patient and showed us houses he knew we would like. He uses state of the art methods for house searching and contract documents. We would get a listing from him daily with new homes added and changes to current listings that fit what we were looking for. When a new house was on the market or a status changed he let us know promptly. He always followed up on any questions we had, almost immediately. And if we called his cell phone, which he shares with clients, he always answered and was happy to help. One time I had to leave him a message and I was amazed he got back to me within 15 minutes or less ! And equally important he knows the ins and outs of real estate and even regulations in different retirement communities. He helped us every step of the way including through the closing. It was obvious to us that he liked working with people and loves his job. And, when we asked him, he also recommended equally good people to help with the Inspection and legal aspects of the closing. Even after we had purchased the house and the closing was over he stopped by to see if all was well and if we needed anything else. Don't waste your time like we did with other realtors who are only out to make a quick buck, go right to Joe Haberl at Our Shore Real Estate. Joe helped us buy our home in 2010.
